Industry Report on Considerations When Investing in Nascent Climate Technologies

One Point Five founder & CEO, Neil Yeoh, worked with the Center for Business and the Environment at Yale (CBEY) to lead industry research on investing in nascent climate technologies. The objective of this research was to evaluate emerging investment instruments and to make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of capital flows into nascent technologies.

Neil led interviews with 20 climate impact investing professionals, and worked with a team of Yale graduate students under CBEY’s oversight to write up an insights report. Yale University published the report, which outlined five considerations for the climate finance sector to bring nascent technologies from the lab to the marketplace.

The report was released in May 2020 through a relevant Yale University-organized panel discussion with investment leaders: Richard Kaufmann, Jigar Shah, Namrita Kapur, and Johanna Wolfson.
